Capt. Appleblossom was a recording pseudonym used by Lloyd Yarbrough, who recorded four titles for Okeh in Dallas on June 27, 1929. Little is known about Yarbrough beyond this recording session, but his performances reveal a capable singer and guitarist with a repertoire that ranged from railroad songs and cowboy material to humorous recitations. His recordings stand among the more obscure examples of early Texas hillbilly music.
