TEX RITTER
Tex Ritter (1905–1974) was an American singer and actor and one of the best-known figures of the singing-cowboy tradition. Born in Texas, he began performing on radio and the New York stage before recording for Decca in the 1930s. His early recordings drew heavily on traditional cowboy songs and ballads, delivered in his distinctive deep, relaxed voice.
